Synopsis:

One night I was walking home, it was so dark, the streetlights weren't working for some reason, and there were no cars. Roads always seem quieter than silence without cars. I walked right down the middle of the road, smiling my head off. This poem is about that time.

I really like this poem, especially the line:
"I dance desert dark not knowing where to go,"
Reading this I'm remembering all the nights I've wandering out in the dark, not going anywhere at all and the atmosphere growing so quiet like everything is paused and I'm completely alone in the world.
